How to request account deletion
If you cannot use the in-app flow, send a request to support@checkpointr.com using the button above.
- Include your Checkpointr username and the email address connected to your account.
- If you want your public comments and reviews removed rather than anonymized, say so clearly in the request.
- We may ask you to verify account ownership before we process the request.
- After verification, we will start the deletion flow as soon as reasonably possible.
What is deleted when your account is deleted
- Your Checkpointr app account and authentication record.
- Private account data associated with your account, including profile records, checkpoints, notifications, friend-request records, favorites, likes, watchlist-type records, drafts, activity records, and uploaded media associated with the account deletion flow.
- Account-linked images and other uploaded files stored for your use in Checkpointr.
- Depending on your request, public comments and reviews may either be deleted or anonymized as deleted content.
What may be retained
- Limited records that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or enforcement of platform rules.
- Reserved markers for your deleted email address or username, where needed to prevent abuse or immediate re-registration of a deleted identity.
- Data that cannot be immediately removed from backups may remain until routine backup expiration, after which it is overwritten or expires according to normal retention cycles.
